Our Music offer at a glance
Music at Loughborough is a continuous journey from the classroom to the concert hall. One that every child takes, regardless of background or prior experience.
The Royal Festival Hall
Year 2. One of the world's great stages. Every child performs on it.
Not watching. Not visiting. On stage, under the lights, in front of hundreds of people. It is the moment children realise what they are capable of — and we make sure every single one of them gets it.

The Choir
For children who love to sing and want more. Rehearsals build confidence, discipline and belonging. Members perform at school events throughout the year.
No audition. Just enthusiasm.

Learning an instrument
Every KS2 child learns to play. Recorder. Ukulele. A sustained programme, building real skill, year on year.
By the time they leave, they can read music, play in an ensemble, and carry it with them for life.

Music in the classroom
From the earliest years, music is taught as a serious subject. Listening, composing, performing, appraising. Children learn the language of music and use it.
