Wellbeing and belonging is at the heart of school life

We believe children learn best when they feel safe, known and respected. At Loughborough, wellbeing isn't a bolt-on, it sits alongside learning every single day.

Different ways to feel calm

Beyond what happens in the classroom, some children need more. We offer art therapy and horse riding alongside our universal wellbeing offer, giving children different ways to process, express and feel calm.

Outdoors is part of how we learn

Children at Loughborough learn outdoors as much as possible, not just because it's enjoyable, but because the evidence is clear: time outside supports children's mental health, focus and emotional regulation. Our garden is as much a wellbeing space as it is a science classroom.

No child goes unnoticed

We also check in regularly with children who need extra support, making sure no child who's struggling goes unnoticed. A nurturing staff body and a behaviour policy built around support, not punishment, sit behind everything we do here.

For children who need more targeted support, we work with a range of specialist providers - always in partnership with families.
