Learning beyond the classroom...

We believe that educational visits are an integral part of the curriculum and learning experience for every child.

They help children make meaningful connections between the classroom and the wider world, enriching their understanding while building confidence, independence and curiosity.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Learning beyond the classroom is a valued part of life at Loughborough.

Carefully planned visits enhance learning, improve attainment and support children to make meaningful connections between their learning and the wider world. Pupils are active participants in their learning, developing confidence, curiosity and resilience through real-world experiences.

Real-World Learning in Context

Our visits give children opportunities to explore learning in meaningful, memorable ways.

Through hands-on experiences, pupils deepen their understanding across a range of subjects, develop social and emotional skills, and strengthen teamwork, communication and problem-solving. Learning outside the classroom supports creativity, critical thinking and a lifelong love of learning.

Safe, Inclusive and Accessible Visits

We are committed to ensuring all school visits are safe, educational and enjoyable. Parents are informed well in advance, with trip dates shared wherever possible at the start of the academic year.

We aim to keep visits affordable and accessible to all families, offering support where needed, and we welcome parent volunteers to help enrich these experiences.
