PSHE

Confident responsible and informed individuals

PSHE

Overview

Our PSHE curriculum, delivered through Life Lessons, is designed to have a positive and lasting impact on pupils' wellbeing, behaviour and personal development. We aim to equip pupils with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to stay safe, build healthy and respectful relationships and thrive in modern society. Our intent is to create confident, empathetic individuals who understand themselves and others, value diversity and are prepared to make informed choices throughout their lives.

How we teach

Life Lessons provides a carefully sequenced curriculum that supports pupils' mental, physical and emotional health at every stage. It is enhanced by Wellbeing Ambassadors, daily mindfulness opportunities, school gardening for all children and outdoor learning experiences. Within lessons, pupils learn about healthy relationships, personal boundaries, online safety, diversity, British values, financial awareness and future aspirations. Teaching is inclusive, age-appropriate and responsive to pupils' needs.

How you can help at home

Talk openly with your child about feelings, relationships and the world around them. Encourage questions, model respect and kindness, and reinforce the values they are learning in school.
